the problem is Elmo wants to go in the field...

So last week we had Elmo’s leg ultrasound scanned as he still wasn’t 100% right after his fight with some fencing a few weeks previous. We found out that Elmo has ‘tweaked’ (in the vets words) his Check Ligament. This means we are on a further 6 weeks box rest/some field pen rest (to keep him sane and ensure the box rest is done safely - no bucking and rearing the the stable 😑) Laser Therapy starts on Wednesday which he will have 3x a week for the next 3 weeks and he has to be ridden in walk for 30 mins a day to stop him from getting too stiff. We are feeling pretty defeated with it all as we were going so well before the initial injury but hopefully (fingers crossed) things will be better in 6 weeks time and this will all be a silly memory.
