Ride them next to their friends or the gate or the space where they’re drawn. Don’t care that they are drawn to their friends, , simply keep them busy and occasionally offer them the chance to ride away quietly from their friends. Let them rest when they’re with you. 3. Be the leader. Your horse needs to know you have a plan. Riding isn’t simply sitting atop your steed, it’s being ahead, making adjustments and being a partner to your horse.
