Horse-Drawn Sleighs & Photos Saved the Elk of Jackson Hole 📷🛷🐴 . Presented by @streamhorsetv & @anthology_us . “Welcome to the National Elk Refuge Sleigh Rides! My name is Shelby, and this here is Lone and Ranger. Lone and Ranger are Belgian Draft horses. All our teams are either Belgians or Percherons. We used to work with Clydesdales…but they kept showing up to work drunk!” . … and with that silly laugh, an amazing excursion full of beauty and education began as the sun shined on a crystal-clear day in Jackson Hole. . The refuge must have called in a favor with Mother Nature when they found out StreamHorseTV was coming down. As typical of February in Jackson, for the week leading up to our ride, it had snowed all day every day, dumping almost 10 feet of powder on the area with temperatures consistently in the single digits… . …but not today! . As Lone and Ranger teamed our sleigh out to the nearly 8,000 elk in the distance, the sunshine warmed the refuge to about 30℉ and provided uninterrupted visibility for as far as the eye could see. Some of these visuals just speak for themselves. .
