About Jocelyn Brooks Jocelyn Brooks is Director of Sales for Airdrie Stud. Jocelyn works directly with Airdrie's breeders and clients in helping with all aspects of their mating plans as well as being a leading presence for the Brereton C. Jones consignments at the major Thoroughbred auctions. Jocelyn relocated to Lexington in 2021 after spending the last six years as Chief of Staff for Sagamore Racing based at historic Sagamore Farm in Maryland where she ran Sagamore Racing’s Next Move program. This program retrained retired Sagamore athletes for second careers such as dressage, hunters/jumpers, eventing and even therapy work. Airdrie Stud is a proud supporter of thoroughbred aftercare and Jocelyn enjoys keeping up with Airdrie bred and sired horses in their new careers. Her own Sagamore retiree, Perpetual Optimism is a two time veteran of The Real Rider Cup. When he isn't winning with the Farm Managers Team, he can be found competing in Eventing and being a very good boy! About Real Rider Cup "Our mission is to promote our sport in a positive light. To show the versatility of Thoroughbreds and to raise money for Thoroughbred retraining and rehoming charities, all while having fun." The brainchild of Anita Motion, the Real Rider Cup is a charity show jumping event that invites racing industry personalities to team up with an off-track Thoroughbred and compete over a course of jumps, while raising funds to benefit Thoroughbred aftercare. Each rider — employees of breeding farms and racing stables, trainers, jockeys, owners, members of racing media, and more — pledges to raise a minimum of $1,000, which directly supports Real Rider Cup beneficiaries: Fair Hill Thoroughbred Show, New Vocations Racehorse Adoption Program, and the Retired Racehorse Project.
