This may be unpopular, but I believe farriers should be in a constant state of learning. They should be taking time at least once a year to attend a conference or symposium to continue their education. As a responsible horse owner it’s my job to control educate myself about these amazing beings. It’s my job to advocate for them and if I’m not learning what proper hoof care looks like, how can I know it’s being provided?
