Why do we really think a horse's value depends on how much we can use it? Tempestina isn't a toy, she's not a means of transportation, and she's not a piece of sports equipment. She's a lifelong companion. She keeps Queen company, fills my days with her personality, makes me laugh, seeks me out, moves me. And that, for me, is more than enough. Not all animals have to be "useful" to deserve to be loved. Sometimes they simply exist to share life with us. And precisely because I believe a horse's value doesn't depend on its usefulness to humans, I'm asking you a favor. In Italy, horses can still be slaughtered.
