People think science and magic have to be opposites. I do not. I am a very science-brained physical therapist. I want the research. I want to know what we can say, what we cannot say yet, and where the evidence is still catching up to the questions. And I still believe something real happens in the paddock. Not because I think every feeling is a fact. And not because I get to call something a mechanism just because it feels true. But I have seen the small things too many times to dismiss them. A horse changes the distance between you. An ear turns. The breathing shifts. The body reorganizes. Sometimes you feel your own shoulders drop before you have even noticed they were up. Science explains a lot. Thank goodness. But it does not have to explain everything I notice on day one for the observation to matter. Sometimes the most important thing is happening behind the scenes. Not louder. Not easier to prove. Just there. I want data and wonder at the same table. I do not think we have to choose ❤️ What do you think? Peace & Love, Melissa, Smokey & Linus 🥰🎥 @melissajeanpt #equineassistedtherapy #horses #nervoussystemregulation #donkeys #research
