It's not about how much you get right...

This is AK. She’s a two year old mustang x morgan x thoroughbred x quarter horse that I recently started for a client. There is always something with every horse I struggle with. AK has a good stubborn streak and she likes to be very upright and in front of the bit. Right before I started videoing we had that ah ha moment of softness. We finally worked together, she wasn’t fighting me, and I wasn’t fighting her. We loped around the round pen collected and soft. I relaxed more into my saddle and asked for a whoa. On cue and in stride she stayed under herself and stopped beautifully. I pat her on the neck and dismounted. That was the first time she gave me some softness instead of bracing against my hands and legs.
