This was one of the lessons my Mustang mare taught me. Turn and face your fears instead of trying to sneak by them. For a long time, and even still sometimes, I made many choices based on fear of judgement of others. I remember sitting down to record my first podcast, thinking it was silly sitting there talking to myself, wondering what people I knew would think of it, and doubting anyone would even care about the things I felt I could share, or that I could get people to come on it. And then I decided it didn’t matter and I didn’t care. I was just going to do it. Honestly, it was a bit on a whim… well, really, I got a good idea and acted quickly on it rather than overthinking and doubting myself. And it has been an amazing experience!! I have grown so much in the doing. That’s how most things in life are. We don’t know what we’re doing, we can’t do it well, but when we go for it anyway, we grow, we learn, and we get good at it. This process was similar to getting my first Mustang. It was a quick moving decision. I even had people try to talk me out of it. Sometimes I tried to talk myself out of it. But instead of second guessing and doubting, I went for it AND I committed to it. Yes! It is scary doing things, going places, sharing things that you have never done before. But that fear lives mainly in our minds. So often the fear we are running from is simply an idea we have given our mind far too much time to entertain. Turn and face your fears. Really examine what they actually are, and you just might find there really isn’t much there, and there is so much more to life than the fear enclosed box you’re choosing to live in… at least that’s what I found. 🥰🎥 @the.touch.of.a.mustang #faceyourfears #dothingsthatscaresyou #goforit #lifewithhorses #mountainliving #blmmustang
