it’s hard sometimes to be surrounded by celebration when you want to stay in bed, crying in the dark, tears falling into your years. when you hope to wake up, these past years just a dark dream, and find the person you’re missing waiting for you. I think it’s so beautiful to let yourself grieve, to hold space for that pain, for the sad memories of those moments of loss, to let yourself fall apart after holding it together, all of the time, in the everyday. but after those moments, when you come back together, how lovely it is to let yourself remember the best parts of your person. the way they showed up for you. the things that you admired most about them. the way their smiles crinkled their eyes or how they articulated with their hands. the way they treated people, they way they made you feel. the sound of their voice saying your name, however they called you, in their deepest tones of affection. how you can carry on their legacy, maybe today. everyone carries grief in their own way. every single way is valid. this is a sharing of how I carry mine, this time of year. 🥰🎥 @thejenini #loss #grief #equinetherapy #therapyhorse #horsegirl #hope
