Hey, I’m Benedikt. When I moved to southern Spain, I fell in love with hay hippos and the views from the saddle. Here is a dream spot for horse enthusiasts. Spain’s rich equestrian culture and the landscapes around the Sierra Nevada near Granada make it perfect for riding. I found a great stable where I take classes and head out on trail rides through the hills. When I’m not riding with them, I go on small horseback adventures across Andalusia, discovering new scenery in this incredibly diverse part of Europe and around. Each year, when the summer heat and the tourists roll in, I head north. It’s too hot for long rides anyway. So I visit friends and family in Germany and explore as many places as I can on the way up. The goal is simple: ride wherever I can and share what the world looks like from the saddle. I wouldn’t call myself a professional filmmaker, but I’ve loved filming since I was a teenager. I put a lot of heart into capturing special moments with horses. Most of my videos are POV, real trail scenes without heavy filters, to show how stunning these rides truly are. I also enjoy experimenting with camera gear and love filming horses with the drone whenever I get the chance.
