Some friendships don’t need to be rebuilt. They simply pick up where they left off. At our barn, our young friends don’t always realize they’re arriving for therapy. To them, they’re just coming to see a friend—one who meets them where they are and walks beside them, no matter the pace. But behind that simple hello? Regulation. Connection. Growth. Occupational therapy doesn’t always look like worksheets or clinics. Sometimes, it looks like a quiet reunion between a boy and his pony. In that moment, he’s practicing motor planning as he approaches, reaches out, and clips the lead rope. He’s strengthening emotional regulation as he co-regulates with a calm, familiar presence. He’s integrating sensory input, engaging his body, and building confidence through meaningful activity. He’s doing the work—without it feeling like work. It’s incredible ❤️🐴 🥰🎥 @stablefriendshipsfoundation #hippotherapy #occupationaltherapy #physicaltherapy #speechtherapy #equineassistedtherapy #equinetherapy #horses #cute #cuteanimals #feel #feeling #feels #equestrian #horsepower #therapy #heart #hearttouching #heartwarming #shorts #powerful
