DESCRIPTION
Welcome to Tokyo Takeaways on StreamHorseTV! In this series StreamHorseTV will be talking Tokyo Equestrian with the lovely and knowledgeable Catie Staszak, international Show Jumping commentator, multimedia sports journalist, and CEO of Catie Staszak Media. We will provide discussion, insight and commentary around all the action happening on the ground during all the Tokyo Olympic Equestrian Competitions.
Our first conversation kicks off by discussing the riders and equines Team USA has selected for each Equestrian Olympic discipline, updates on performance expectations, format changes for the team divisions, and substitution or withdrawal surprises along the way. The year-long delay, coupled with the absence of spectators, surely has an impact on both the horses and riders, as Staszak points out.
TOPICS DISCUSSED:
- The Impact of Format Changes Looms For A Strong US Team
- Surprises Along The Way
- No Spectators: The Pros and Cons
- The Stark Difference Between Dressage’s Two Qualifying Days
Watch the FULL EPISODE to see Staszak’s inspiring reaction to watching Days 1 and 2 of Dressage qualifying. She also discusses the vast difference she found between the two days. Also find out more about who is expected to dominate in the Dressage competition, who Staszak thinks will medal, who flopped in qualifying, and a sneak peek of the first entry of Phillip Dutton’s Olympic Diaries series for StreamHorseTV. For Team USA and all of the competing countries, we wish everyone a safe and successful ride in these Olympic Games!
