Before I even open the gate, I notice my breath. Because I’ve started to see something… every single time. On the days I come in rushing—carrying the energy of everything before I got here Smokey is the first to tell me. 🤦🏼♀️ He pauses. Gets still. And sometimes… he holds his breath. Like my energy just entered his world. I’m like the energizer bunny walking into his Snorlax world. But on the days I slow down… when I actually take a breath before I walk in He doesn’t brace. He softens. Same horse. Different nervous system walking through the gate. That’s why I call the paddock a laboratory. Because I can’t fake it here. They don’t respond to what I say. They respond to what my body is doing. What do you notice in your own body when you walk into a space?
